One firefighter was injured while responding to a 2-alarm house fire in Mattapan Tuesday evening.
Boston Fire officials said they responded to a reported fire around 6:25 p.m. at a three-family home located at 849 Cummins Highway. Upon arrival, they found back of the 3-story wood frame building in flames.
The Red Cross is assisting 7 residents who were displaced in the blaze.
The department estimates the damage at $250,000.
