Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick says he still has made no decisions about his future after leaving office.
In an interview with The Associated Press on Monday, Patrick indicated he had received feelers about a "range of things" but had no plans beyond vacationing with his wife, Diane, after his final day as governor on Jan. 8.
Possible opportunities included what he termed a "loose affiliation" with an initiative planned by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
While ruling out a presidential campaign in 2016, he acknowledges that he'd consider giving the White House a shot in the future, if the time was right for him and his family.
Patrick said among the immediate challenges that could face Republican Charlie Baker upon taking office is closing a state budget deficit and preparing for the possibility of severe winter weather.
Deval Patrick Won't Rule Out Future Presidential Run
He told the Associated Press he won't run in 2016, but he'd consider giving the White House a shot in the future, if the time was right for him and his family.
