A local agency is honoring everyday heroes who strive to make the lives of troubled children and families better. On Friday, June 9, the Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps will gather to present its Embracing the Legacy Award to three honorees. The award celebrates the legacy of Robert F. Kennedy and the work of the organization founded to carry out his principles of social justice for the poor and disadvantaged.
