A Massachusetts man who has received a pardon for his prison sentence from Gov. Deval Patrick will testify before the governor’s council Monday.

Jeffrey Snyder, 43, served two years in prison after being convicted in 1995 on drug-related charges, including possession of marijuana with intent to distribute in a school zone when he was in high school.

Snyder has been out of prison for years.

Patrick made his first pardons and commutation on Nov. 10. It was the first commutation by a governor in 17 years.

The governor's council is an elected body that provides advice and consent on pardons, commutations and judicial appointments, among other things.
