Massachusetts State Police Trooper Injured in Motorcycle Crash

The trooper's condition and extent of injuries are currently unknown

Authorities say a Massachusetts State Police trooper was injured in a motorcycle crash in Medford Friday afternoon.

State police say the trooper was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital after the two-vehicle crash, which happened at the State Police Barracks on Wellington Circle around 3:30 p.m.

The trooper had a broken leg when firefighters arrived on scene, according to Medford Fire.

One lane of traffic is getting by just before 5 p.m., and another lane is expected to open soon, according to state police.

Medford EMS also responded to the scene.
