The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court upheld the first-degree murder conviction of a man found guilty of shooting and stabbing another man to death on Cape Cod in 2008.
Robert Vacher was convicted in 2011 of killing Jordan Mendes in the Hyannis section of Barnstable.
He claimed that his police statement and evidence found in his car should be suppressed. The high court rejected that claim.
Vacher was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
