Officials: Elementary School Evacuated After Loud, Underground Bang

Officials confirm a Massachusetts elementary school was evacuated Thursday morning.

Lexington Public Schools says students at Joseph Estabrook Elementary were evacuated to Lexington High School Field House after a loud bang and rumble was heard from underground.

Utilities are still working, and a National Grid crew is on the scene, according to Lexington police. Police add there is no smoke or fire.

No one was injured.

Officials are examining the structure, since its a new school.

Police say the incident is still in the exploratory stage.
