Eastbound Lanes of I-90 Shut Down Following Fatal Multi-Truck Crash in Blandford

One person was killed on I-90 in Blandford in a multi-tractor-trailer crash.

One person was killed after a multi-vehicle crash involving two tractor-trailers in Blandford, Massachusetts.

State police said the crash happened at 2:40 a.m. Thursday when a tractor-trailer was traveling eastbound on Interstate 90. The driver of the trailer lost control for reasons still under investigation and crashed with another tractor-trailer, a box truck and a pickup truck.

Five people were rushed to Baystate Medical Center, where one person died. The four surviving victims were treated for minor injuries, according to state police.

The eastbound lanes of I-90 remain closed while officials continue their investigation.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
