Woman Arrested with 1,000 Bags of Heroin, Baby in Car

Massachusetts State Police have arrested a woman accused of driving with 1000 bags of heroin in her car while her 2-month-old child was a passenger

Massachusetts State Police have arrested a woman accused of driving with 1,000 bags of heroin in her car while her 2-month-old child was a passenger.

Police stopped the vehicle on Interstate 91 northbound in Greenfield Tuesday evening at 10:20 for a motor vehicle violation.

Police found the operator, Nia Moore-Bush, 26, of Springfield, was unlicensed.

After further investigation police found 1,000 bags of heroin in her car.

She was placed under arrest and charged with trafficking, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.

The Department of Children and Families took custody of the child.

Moore-Bush was transported to the Franklin County House of Correction pending her arraignment Wednesday.
