A small riot broke out inside the Massachusetts Alcohol and Substance Abuse Center in Bridgewater Wednesday night, law enforcement confirmed.
Bridgewater Police Lt. Thomas Schlatz said officers got the call from a corrections officer inside the center around 8 p.m. about a disturbance, which he described to necn as a "small mini riot."
There's no word on how many were injured in the melee; however, Lt. Schlatz said the caller requested several ambulances.
Bridgewater police were only on the scene for about 20 minutes, and that it was handled by the facility, Lt. Schlatz said.
