Police evacuated a parking lot of a Market Basket on Wednesday after what appeared to be a pressure cooker was found in a shopping cart.
Nothing was found inside the container, and it was determined to be non-hazardous. Authorities are clearing the scene at 274 Hartford Ave. in Bellingham, Massachusetts.
The item was located in an alley between Market Basket and Barnes & Noble.
Jennifer LaValley, who was on the scene, tells necn officials blocked the entrance to the plaza completely, as well as access to the rear of the building.
