Road Rage Suspect Faces Judge at Dangerousness Hearing

A dangerousness hearing was held for a Massachusetts man facing charges after an alleged road rage incident in Fitchburg Wednesday.

Fifty-three-year-old Leominster resident Michael Bryce appeared in court Thursday morning on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon (motor vehicle), malicious or wanton destruction of property and operating to endanger.

He was taken into custody during his arraignment and a judge ordered a dangerousness hearing for Thursday afternoon.

Police say Bryce was caught on camera by the driver during the alleged incident on Main Street at about 1:15 p.m.

Bryce can be seen on the street after getting out of his vehicle and screaming obscenities at the other driver.

A young girl was in the car at the time.

Nobody was injured, but the driver's car was damaged during the incident after Bryce allegedly returned to his truck and rammed the back of the vehicle.

Police said he fled the scene but was arrested in Leominster later in the day and transferred back to Fitchburg for booking.

Bryce posted bail following the dangerousness hearing. He was ordered to stay away from the victim and would not make a comment after court.
