The brother-in-law of former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick has been arrested on assault to rape charges in an incident involving a family member, law enforcement sources have told the NBC Boston Investigators.
Bernard Sigh, 65, was arraigned Monday in Quincy District Court.
Sources say the assault happened in Milton Saturday.
Sigh is being held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing, sources say.
Sigh was convicted in 1993 after he pleaded guilty to spousal rape in California.
