Massachusetts State Police have released the name of a man who died in a head-on crash this week in East Brookfield.
Police say a southbound Toyota Sequoia and a northbound Jeep Wrangler struck head on Route 49 at about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.
An adult male passenger in the Toyota, identified as 30-year-old Jason Cranston, of Barre, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 44-year-old woman from Barre, was trapped in the vehicle and was taken to a Worcester hospital after she was extricated.
The driver of the Jeep, a 21-year-old Worcester woman, and her 29-year-old male passenger were also hospitalized. Their names were not released.
The crash remains under investigation.
