Students and teachers resumed summer classes and camps at Wareham, Massachusetts, schools Tuesday after an administrator received a threatening email.
State police said a search of the town's schools concluded with no threats found.
Wareham Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Kimberly Shaver-Hood said Monday on the school's website that buildings were placed on lockdown. Police later said that Wareham High School, Wareham Middle School and Minot Forest Elementary School were evacuated and being searched by police.
All three schools had summer school and other educational activities occurring Monday.
Police say the email was sent anonymously from someone claiming to be inside a school with a gun.
Students and school officials were taken to a nearby YMCA, where students were released to their parents.
Police said the focus of the investigation now is to find out who was behind the anonymous email.
