Woman Hit by Broken Bat at Fenway Appears in Court for Custody Battle

Necn's cameras caught up with the woman who was badly injured by a broken bat at Fenway Park back in June on Monday morning.

Tonya Carpenter of Paxton, Massachusetts, was at Worcester Courthouse for a custody battle.

Her ex-husband is seeking full custody of their 7-year-old son, citing the traumatic brain injury Carpenter suffered at the ballpark.

A hearing was held on the case Monday and the judge has taken the issue under advisement.

Carpenter is recovering at home.

Neither party had any comment.
