The Boston Fire Department responded to a call for a worker pinned by a concrete truck.
According to the department, firefighters arrived to a construction site located at 715 East 2nd Street in South Boston for a worker pinned by a piece of equipment.
Firefighters learned a concrete structure tipped over as its footing gave way and trapped the work.
Other workers tried to rescue him, but were unable to.
Firefighters took over and extracted the worker.
Boston EMS transported the victim to Tufts Medical Center. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
OSHA has been asked to respond.
