Vermont State Police are searching for a suspect who burglarized an antique store in Barton over the weekend.
At 11:29 p.m. Saturday, Vermont State Police received a report of a burglary in progress at THINGS antique store on Lake Street in Barton. Witnesses said they saw several unidentified suspects break into the store and gain entry into the building.
Upon arrival, police found several doors and windows with damage consistent with forced entry. Witnesses told police they believed the suspects were still in the building, but a search did not turn up anyone.
The suspects remain on the loose, and the investigation is ongoing. The owner of the business has been unable to determine if anything was taken. Anyone with information is urged to call Vermont State Police at (802) 334-8881.
