Rare aircraft touch down in Worcester

(NECN: Katie Daly, Worcester, Mass.) – One by one they roared down the rundown the runway at Worcester Regional Airport. Three rare bomber and fighter aircraft touched down in Worcester Monday afternoon. Its all part of the Collins Foundation’s Wings of Freedom tour. Worcester’s Mayor was the first to take flight in a vintage B-24 bomber. William Ambrose is a World War II veteran. The aircraft is familiar to him. He used to fly the same type of planes when he was station in England. Young Collton Channley was able to go an adventure. He watched closely as his father flew the bomber high above Worcester. Collton says he is a pilot in training For the next two days visitors will be allowed to board the plane and experience a piece of history.
