FBI Finds Human Remains at Old Mill in Providence, Rhode Island

Federal authorities continued to dig in Providence, Rhode Island, discovering human remains Thursday.

Federal authorities discovered human remains Thursday behind an old mill in Providence, Rhode Island.

The FBI confirmed just after 6 p.m. that the remains had been discovered behind 715 Branch Ave.

The remains will be tested by Rhode Island's medical examiner's office.

It was the bureau's third day of digging behind a mill building that had been raided by investigators for an illegal pot growing operation.

The Boston Globe reports the dig is in search for the remains of Steven DiSarro.

The owner of the Channel Nightclub in South Boston disappeared in 1993.

Court documents indicate James “Whitey” Bulger's right-hand man, Stephen "The Rifleman" Flemmi told the FBI that he saw DiSarro being strangled.

Flemmi also allegedly told investigators he was told DiSarro was buried in Providence.
