Rhode Island State Police have arrested a licensed social worker on child pornography charges.
Police launched an investigation after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited children regarding child pornography in a suspect's email account.
The investigation led to a warrant for the arrest of 52-year-old James Norman of Warwick. On Sept. 21, police executed a search warrant at his home and seized several pieces of digital media.
Norman is a licensed social worker and has worked as a therapist in the Providence and Cranston area for 25 years.
The investigation is on-going.
