Senator Kennedy honored with singing at service

(NECN: Boston, MA) – Family and friends of Senator Edward M. Kennedy on Saturday gathered in Boston to pay final respects. During Communion, the Massachusetts Senator was honored by Tenor Placido Domingo singing at the service. He sang Frank, “Panis Angelicus” which was followed by the Tanglewood Festival Chorus. The chorus conductor, John Oliver was joined on organ by James David Christie. They played Brahms, “Let Nothing Ever Grieve Thee.” After funeral, Senator Kennedy will be flown to Andrews Air Force Base where he will be buried Saturday evening near his brothers at Arlington National Cemetery in northern Virginia.
