There may not be much snow predicted on Friday, but the Massachusetts Department of Transportation trucks could be seen filling up with salt along the Mass. Pike in Weston Thursday night.

At the Lowe's in Plainville, the slight accumulation means people are looking for snowblowers, rock salt, and "Shovels, scrapers, gloves, hats mittens ear protection. We have it all," Lowe's Assistant Manager Ed Boylan said.
The Lowe's customers were also busy. Michelle and Mark Horner of North Attleboro say they started their Christmas decorating already. They came in to buy stakes to put in the ground for those decorations before it freezes.
Back on the Pike in Natick, NECN also caught up with commuters who will most likely be impacted.
"I'm ready for it, bring it on," one Cambridge resident said.
NECN also met Bill from a local funeral home. He's a tried and true New Englander.

"It's New England, it's supposed to snow in the winter," he said, adding that when the snow makes driving difficult, "you just slow down."
State Police say they tend to see more crashes and spinouts during the first snowfalls, as "drivers find themselves suddenly driving in inclement weather."
They urge drivers to plan ahead, take their time and leave distance between vehicles.
