Two rescued from Essex river

(NECN: Essex, Mass.) – Two people were rescued after their car plunged into a river in Essex, Massachusetts on Saturday. The two people held onto a kayak as it was brought to the water’s edge. Two members of the police department rushed to the scene after getting a call Saturday afternoon about a car crash on Main Street that ended with a car in the river. It was a single vehicle crash.
