Two people in Vermont have been charged with cruelty to animals.
After receiving a complaint of suspected abuse, police in Hartford, Vermont, along with the Upper Valley Humane Society began an investigation.
A search warrant was executed at a residence at 156 Fern St. in Wilder. Evidence of animal abuse and neglect was found, according to authorities.
Three canines were taken from the residence for medical treatment.
34-year-old Tommy Warren and 54-year-old Lori Vitali, both of Hartford, were charged. More charges could follow.
