Vermont State Police say a man drowned Saturday after he fell out of his kayak on Silver Lake in Barnard.
The incident happened at 11:30 p.m.
Police say Ernest Wardwell was kayaking with two family members.
A family member attempted to save Wardwell but was unable to do so.
His body was later recovered by the fire department.
Investigation indicates the indicent was an accident.
