Yale student goes missing days before wedding

(NECN: John Moroney) – Police are passing out fliers and looking for any information regarding the disappearance of a Yale graduate student; set to get married this weekend. This picture of 24-year-old Annie Le was taken by a surveillance camera at Yale Tuesday around 10 in the morning. She was photographed entering a lab building on Amistad Street after leaving her purse, containing a phone, credit cards and money in another lab on the medical school campus. Le is a doctoral student in pharmacology and molecular science. Last winter she wrote a story for a Yale publication. The piece was titled: Crime and Safety, and concludes with this sentence: “New Haven is a city, and all cities have their perils, but with a little street smarts, one can avoid becoming yet another statistic.” FBI agents searched the house where the California native rented an apartment. She is planning to get married Sunday. Her fiancé – reportedly a graduate student at Columbia University – is said to be working with authorities in their search for the young woman.
