Police say two people are dead and another has been hospitalized after a car crashed into a tree in Milton, Massachusetts early Friday morning.
The car, a 2014 Mercedes-Benz, was traveling northeast on Brush Hill Road between Truman Parkway and Route 128 in Milton when it crashed into a tree around 3:30 a.m. and caught on fire. It was extinguished with assistance from the Milton Fire Department.
Two of the occupants in the vehicle, the operator, a 24-year-old woman from Dorchester and the front seat passenger, a 23-year-old man from Mattapan, were pronounced dead on the scene.
A third person, a 17-year-old rear seat-passenger was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries.
The victim's identities are being withheld pending family notification.
