2 Pedestrians Struck by Utility Truck in Woburn, Massachusetts

Police say both victims were taken to area hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries

Two pedestrians were hospitalized Tuesday night after being struck by a utility truck in Woburn, Massachusetts.

Police said the crash happened at about 7 p.m. on Common Street, near City Hall.

Authorities said when officers arrived, they found a 71-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman, suffering from injuries after being struck by a truck.

Police said both victims were taken to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington with serious, life-threatening injuries.

The names of the victims have not been released.

Police said the driver of the truck stayed on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by Woburn Police.
