Four familiar prestigious educational institutions in New England have been ranked among the top 10 on a new list from the Wall Street Journal.
The 2020 Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings list (subscription required) puts Harvard University at the top, followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology which came in second.
Yale University in Connecticut was ranked at number 3 while Brown University in Rhode Island was ranked at number 7.

- Tufts University (30)
- Smith College (41)
- Boston University (44)
- Boston College (59)
- Mount Holyoke College (61)
- Northeastern University (93)
The annual ranking looks at key performance indicators which include students' engagement with their studies, students' interaction with their instructors, and satisfaction with the academic experience.
