Whale Stuck Off Cape Cod Coast Dies

Crews from the International Fund for Animal Welfare attempted to herd an 18-foot-long minke whale back out to sea after it became stuck in the shallow waters off the coast of Chatham, Massachusetts, on Thursday. The whale was found dead Friday morning in Stage Harbor. A necropsy will be performed to determine the whale’s cause of death.
