Explosion Seriously Damages Duxbury House

Officials say no one was hurt in the explosion and the incident is still under investigation.

An explosion in a Duxbury, Massachusetts house has caused serious damage to the building.

According to Duxbury Fire, responders arrived on the scene at 16 Laurel Street in Duxbury just after 4 p.m. on Sunday to find an oil fired water boiler had exploded.

All occupants were home at the time of the explosion but were able to escape without any injuries, officials said.

There is, however, significant damage to the house, including the walls, windows, waste water and structure. 

The building inspector has declared the house uninhabitable.
