Hingham Police Officer on Leave Following OUI Arrest

Hingham Police put on leave following arrest on OUI suspicions.

A Massachusetts police officer has been put on paid administrative leave after allegedly being drunk behind the wheel on Super Bowl Sunday.

Hingham Police Department said Officer Ryan Ross' leave was effective on Feb. 5 and will continue pending the results of an internal investigation.

The 31-year-old Ross was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run crash in Pembroke last Sunday.

NBC10 Boston went to Ross' home Saturday, but Ross would not comment on the case.

Because the issue involves a personnel matter, the Hingham Police Department would not make any more comment on the situation.
