A New Hampshire man has been arrested in connection to the death of a young child.
Police responded to School Street in Loudon around 3:50 a.m. Wednesday to find 23-month-old Colton Emery, who was later pronounced dead, according to Attorney General Gordon MacDonald.
Douglas Barton, 39, of Loudon, was arrested Friday morning, MacDonald said. He is charged with second-degree murder.
Barton allegedly physically assaulted the boy multiple times.
Emery is presumed to have died Tuesday.
