Ex-School Board Member Charged With Wire Tapping, Privacy Violation

A former New Hampshire school board member will face a judge after being arrested on charges of wiretapping and violating privacy.

Manchester police confirm Jason Cooper will be arraigned Wednesday. He turned himself in to the police department after a warrant for his arrest was issued.

Cooper was charged with 10 counts of wire tapping and 10 counts of privacy violation. Police say the case involves a juvenile; however, details on the case, which has been under investigation since January, are sparse.

Cooper served as a school board member from 2011 to 2013. He has also run for alderman in the past, but was defeated every time.

It's unclear if Cooper has an attorney.
