Boston City Council Unanimously Votes to Support Striking Hotel Workers

Striking hotel workers received a show of support from Boston City Council members on Wednesday when the city leaders unanimously voted to support Unite Here 26, a union of more than 1,500 Marriott employees who are on strike to demand higher wages and more work. Through the resolution, the council is encouraging all city employees to no longer eat or sleep at Marriott hotels and to join picket lines when they see them.
