Mostly Sunny, Warm and Humid to Begin Week

Monday: Partly cloudy, muggy. Spot storm. Highs in the 80s to near 90. Monday Night: Warm and muggy. Lows in the 60s and 70s. Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, downpours and storms. Breezy and muggy. Highs in the 80s.

Monday will be mainly quiet, but a pop-up thunderstorm will be possible, especially in the mountains. Elsewhere, the weather will remain mainly dry, but very warm and very humid.

Widespread thunderstorms are possible by Tuesday. A line of thunderstorms is expected to develop in western New England Tuesday late morning and then it will move toward the coast during the afternoon. A beneficial rain is likely, but some of the storms may become severe with damaging wind gusts.

Showers may linger in coastal Maine and southeastern Massachusetts Wednesday morning. Expect sunshine to return by Wednesday afternoon.

Thursday and Friday will be the nicest days of the week. We're expecting sunshine and seasonably warm temperatures.

Starting Saturday, it's looking like we will enter into a very unsettled stretch of weather. Locally heavy rain will be possible along with strong to even severe thunderstorms. This stretch of weather may continue into a week from Tuesday.
