Nero was released from the hospital on the same day Sgt. Sean Gannon was laid to rest.
The Black Dog has created a t-shirt featuring Nero, the K-9 that was shot and injured when accompanying slain Yarmouth Police Sgt. Sean Gannon.
The popular Cape Cod cafe features a "Hero for Nero" t-shirt, with a dog wearing a blue collar, and says they will donate 100% of the proceeds to the Cape & Island Police K-9 Relief Fund and the Officer Sean Gannon Memorial Fund.
Nero continues to recover from wounds suffered when he was shot in the face and neck in the April 12 attack.
Gannon was shot and killed while he and other officers were serving an arrest warrant at a home in Barnstable.
