FAA Investigating Small Plane's Hard Landing at Orange Airport

The shooting in Virginia has brought up painful memories for a Waltham family whose son was killed in the line of duty at the Capitol 19-years ago.

Authorities in Massachusetts are responding to a plane's hard landing at Orange Municipal Airport.

At approximately 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, the small aircraft, which is a Vans RV 8, went into the grass due to a collapsed nose gear as it landed, according to the FAA.

The federal agency will investigate the hard landing.

Orange police say there have been no reported injuries. No other details were immediately available.
