Pets Rescued From Virgin Islands

While thousands and thousands of people were evacuated from the Virgin Islands, another kind of evacuation was taking place. Nearly 400 dogs and cats were flown to Hampton Roads Thursday night. The pets are now being cared for on a Virginia farm. Sali Gear, an animal lover who lives in Virginia Beach now, is actually from the Virgin Islands. She organized a massive animal rescue from Hurricane Irma.
