Police say a Massachusetts man accidentally hit his young son with his SUV in Rutland.
A 2-year-old Massachusetts boy died Saturday after police say his father accidentally ran over him in a driveway Friday.
The man was driving a Lexus SUV when he ran over his son, a toddler, in Rutland.
Police say the man put his son in the vehicle to start driving him to a hospital. Police and an ambulance met him on Route 122A to transport the boy.
The child was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in critical condition, where he passed away overnight, according to his family.
It's unclear if the child's father will face charges.
