Police ID Homicide Victim Found in Woodbridge

Police are investigating after the body of an apparent homicide victim was found in the woods in Woodbridge on Saturday night and authorities said it’s related to a missing person case from New Haven.

A 28-year-old New Haven man who was found dead in a wooded area of Woodbridge on Saturday night had several gunshot wounds and police are investigating his death as a homicide.

Police have identified the man as 28-year-old Abdur Terrell, of New Haven. They previously said this was related to a missing person case from New Haven.

Terrell’s body was found along Woodfield Road.

The body was removed from the scene and was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy was performed.

The medical examiner's office determined that Terrell died from gunshot wounds to the neck, torso and right upper extremities.

Detectives from Connecticut State Police are assisting in the investigation.
