A Quincy police officer is on administrative leave after he barricaded himself inside a home in Raynham, Massachusetts, on Monday night.
Authorities responded to the Britton Street home of Officer Keith Wilbur, a dispatcher, just after 10:30 p.m. for a domestic call.
Police tell us a woman came to door to speak with police and Wilbur was inside.
Police say they attempted to talk to Wilbur, 51, when they received two shots fired through a door. Both police officers took the woman and exited the house.
Quincy police say Wilbur has been with the force for 18 years and has no significant incidents on his record. A law enforcement source says Wilbur is a retired Air Force veteran.
Police blocked roads to the quiet neighborhood and told neighbors to stay inside. K9 units and a negotiator also responded to the scene, where a large police presence formed both on the street and at a command center at a gas station nearby.
There were no reports of any hostages.

Wilbur surrendered to police at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The exact motive for the call has not been revealed.
Wilbur will appear in Taunton District Court Tuesday. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
