A person was killed Wednesday when they were struck by a train at the Upham’s Corner MBTA Commuter Rail stop.

One person is dead after being struck by an MBTA Commuter Rail train in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident was reported around 3:45 p.m. at the Uphams Corner Commuter Rail station.

MBTA Transit Police said a male trespasser of unknown age was struck on the commuter rail tracks in the area of 686 Dudley St. His identity has not been released.

The 4:15 p.m. Fairmount Line train was cancelled and delays are being reported on the Framingham/Worcester and Greenbush lines out of South Station due to the police activity.

Police are investigating.
