A Rhode Island man has been arrested on four counts of soliciting a child after allegedly reaching out to what he thought was a 14-year-old boy for sex.
Korey Morris, a 43-year-old Middletown resident, solicited a person he believed to be a 14-year-old Rhode Island boy for sexual activity, authorities said Wednesday. He was arrested after an investigation by the Rhode Island State Police/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Morris was arraigned on four counts of indecent solicitation of a child and five counts of dissemination of indecent material to a minor, police announced Wednesday.
He was ordered to be held on $5,000 surety bail with conditions restricting his internet use and prohibiting him from contact with children.
It was not immediately clear if Morris had an attorney.
