Taunton Woman Held at Gunpoint During Home Invasion

The 73-year-old woman said at first she thought it was her neighbor

Police are searching for a suspect in a Taunton, Massachusetts home invasion.

Seventy-three-year-old Shirley Rodriguez says a masked man with a gun made his way into her Staples Street home Thursday night.

Rodriguez says at first she thought it was her neighbor, but then the man barged into her home, held her at gunpoint and forced her into the bathroom.

"He said, 'give me your car keys.'  My dog went after him. He threatened to shoot my dog twice. I gave him the car keys and he stopped talking. He started pointing like this. I said, 'what, the bathroom?'  He pushed me in the bathroom," the victim said.

The suspect stole the woman's car, which police were able to track down. However, he also got away with Rodriguez's phone and purse.
