Chance of Severe Thunderstorms This Week

Tonight: Mainly cloudy. Coastal fog. Lows in the upper 40s. Tomorrow: Sunny. Very nice. Highs in the low 70s. Tuesday: Warm and humid. Showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the low 80s.

Some of us had to wait a little longer than others to see a sunny Mother’s Day (unfortunately for the south coast, it was mainly cloudy all day).

Nicer weather will guide us into the new work week. Sunny skies on Monday with temperatures in the low 70s. Humidity will make a return, but not until Tuesday.

Tuesday will usher in our next chance of thunderstorms. The day will be warm and very humid. Thunderstorms, which develop, may become strong to even severe Tuesday afternoon. If the storms become strong enough, damaging wind gusts are possible.

After a day spend in the 80s, Wednesday will be seasonably cooler. Wednesday and Thursday should be pretty nice. We are expect temperatures in the 60s and 70s both days.

Friday into next weekend will be unsettled. Showers and cooler weather will return. If showers are widespread, temperatures may stay in the 50s. It won’t be until next Monday that the weather will quiet down!
