Police in Pelham, New Hampshire, have arrested a man accused of driving under the influence after a two-vehicle crash.
Police responded to the scene on Atwood Road around 7:30 Tuesday night after a caller reported his van was struck by a pickup truck.
The caller told police that a vehicle came into his lane and drove at him head-on. The caller tried to avoid the truck by swerving, but ended up getting hit in the rear quarter.
Police found the truck in the rear entrance to Yarde Metals. The driver was passed out at the wheel with the truck still in drive. When the officer attempted to wake the driver up, the driver’s foot was taken off the brake pedal, causing the truck to roll away.
The officer managed to reach inside and put the truck in park.
The driver, identified as Kevin Bolia, 24, of Pelham, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs. He was released on bail and is due back in court on March 2.
