A Peterborough, New Hampshire, man must undergo surgery after he was struck by a rock that came crashing through a windshield, resulting in a life-threatening injury.
The Keene Sentinel reports Adam Lecomte, 37, was the passenger in a pickup when a seven-pound rock crashed through the windshield and hit him in the head Thursday morning on Route 202 in Peterborough.
Police tell the newspaper they think the rock fell out of a dump truck.
The victim was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center with injuries that are life-threatening
The driver of the truck Lecomte was riding in was not injured.
Police are checking all local construction sites to see if any employees were in the area at the time.
