DA Gerry Leone says he plans to leave government service after his term ends
(NECN) - A prominent Mass. prosecutor is leaving office.
Middlesex County District Attorney Gerry Leone says he will not seek a third term next year.
Leone has served as Middlesex DA since being elected in 2006.
He says he does not plan to run for another elective office when his term ends. In fact, he says he is leaving government service altogether and has no specific plans at this time.
